Blackout blinds from VELUX made from the best materials

We only use the best materials during manufacturing in order to guarantee an optimal blackout effect. This makes the three-layered Oeko-Tex® fabric especially dirt-repellent. The fabric is made out of a polyester layer and a lightproof intermediate layer. The back is formed from a special coating made of aluminium. This high quality coating protects any room from light coming in from outside and also improves insulation. With a VELUX blackout blind, you can not only darken your living rooms with ease, but you can also avoid losing heat through the window in the winter and thereby improve the energy balance of your house.

Another important criteria for selecting a blackout blind is operation. The fabric runs in aluminium side rails and offers stepless positioning. This makes the blind easy to use, you can decide between the following operations:

Manually operated blackout blinds with guide rails can be opened and closed easily with the ergonomically shaped handle and offer stepless position adjustment.

Electrically operated blackout blinds offer comfort at the push of a button. They can be conveniently opened and closed - especially useful for difficult-to-access skylights.

Solar-powered blackout blinds can be easily opened and closed via the integrated solar cell with a powerful battery.

Operations and colors

Manual

Manually operated blinds with control bar are well suited for roof windows within reach. You operate the blind by pulling down the control bar. Aluminium top and side channels ensure a smooth operation and enables you to position the blind anywhere in the window.

Electric

Electrically operated blinds are recommended for VELUX INTEGRA® electrically operated roof windows. The blind is operated via a remote control or wall switch that makes it an ideal solution for blinds that are out of reach. Control your blind from anywhere in your room for that extra level of comfort.

Solar

Solar powered blinds are perfect for manual and solar INTEGRA® roof windows that are out of reach. The blind comes with a wall switch operated by a standard battery that is recharged by solar power which is good for up to 600 operations even if there is no sun for recharging. The blind is easy to install as no wiring is needed. Manual operation is also possible

Installing VELUX blinds requires no measuring, trimming, cutting or extra tools. They are made for a perfect fit, and everything you need is included in the blind package.
