What distinguishes a VELUX pleated blind
The advantages of pleated blinds are clear: They offer flexible light and privacy protection, run very smoothly and offer stepless position adjustment. In addition, VELUX pleated blinds make room for a unique lighting mood and create a feel-good atmosphere.
With their modern slimline design, they can be integrated into any roof window. Our pleated blinds are available in 16 different colours. Thanks to the flexible positioning of the functional handle bar, these blinds are very easy to operate.
We only use high quality and durable materials for each pleated blind. Every VELUX pleated blind is made of translucent polyester fabric. The pull cords are made of wear-resistant polyester and aren't visible. These blinds run on narrow, elegant side rails made of anodised aluminium so that no light can come in at the edges.
All fabrics and materials are tested for their quality through complex test procedures. We guarantee colour fastness and tear resistance. VELUX pleated blinds have a 3 year warranty. In addition, every pleated blind can be combined with other external VELUX heat protection products or anti-insect roller blinds. See our blinds overview page.
What's more: This blind is easy to install. Watch the VELUX pleated blind installation video.
Operate VELUX pleated blinds manually or electrically
When it comes to operating your VELUX pleated blind, you have two options:
Manually operated pleated blinds can be opened and closed easily and the blind can be placed anywhere on the window.
Comfort at the push of a button: Electrically operated pleated blinds can be conveniently opened and especially useful for difficult-to-access skylights.

How to choose the right colour for your VELUX pleated blind
VELUX offers countless options for choosing the colour of your pleated blind. To make the choice easier for you, we have developed a practical filter which allows you to search for your desired colour quickly and easily.
The legend indicates the available blackout levels. The selection ranges from 1 (transparent) to 5 (complete blackout). If you move the mouse over the corresponding colour previews, you will get a detailed view. Click on "Configure a VELUX pleated blind" below.
